About Laundry Center @ Our Place Community Outreach
For decades, Our Place Community Outreach has been a cornerstone of support in West Central Spokane. The Laundry Center is a key part of this mission, born from a commitment to neighbors supporting neighbors. This women-led organization operates with core values of dignity, compassion, and inclusion, ensuring everyone feels welcome. Powered by dedicated volunteers and staff, many of whom have deep roots in the community and personal experience with economic hardship, the center is more than just a place to do laundry. It's a space built on trust and a genuine desire to provide practical help and hope, ensuring all Spokane neighbors have access to the basic services they deserve.
The Laundry Center @ Our Place Community Outreach provides accessible and essential self-service coin laundry facilities for the Spokane community. To make laundry day as easy as possible, the center has staff onsite during open hours and also provides detergent when available. Accessing the service is simple and dignified, with no identification or documentation required. Households of 1-2 people can wash up to two loads per week, while larger households of three or more can wash up to three loads. The center is open three days a week with convenient daytime and evening hours. As part of Our Place Community Outreach, visitors can also connect with other vital resources, including the Hygiene Center for personal care items, a free healthy market, and assistance with Avista utility payments, offering holistic support beyond just clean clothes.
