About Laundry Love Fort Worth
Laundry Love Fort Worth is a compassionate, volunteer-run organization dedicated to serving the Fort Worth community. Founded in July 2014 by Kelli and Jayne, the initiative was born from a simple but powerful realization: access to clean clothes is a fundamental need that restores dignity and self-esteem. Inspired by the national Laundry Love movement, the founders established a local chapter to address this need directly. The core mission is to provide a helping hand through free laundry assistance in an atmosphere defined by kindness, fellowship, and respect for every individual, turning a simple chore into an act of community building.
On the third Saturday of every month, Laundry Love Fort Worth hosts a community event where individuals and families can take care of their laundry needs free of charge. The organization provides all the essentials, giving participants the funds required for self-service machines along with complimentary detergent and dryer sheets. It’s more than just laundry; it’s an event designed for community support. While the washers and dryers are running, guests can enjoy a light meal, snacks, and drinks in a friendly setting. For families attending with children, a special Kid’s Club area offers free arts, crafts, and activities. This welcoming environment, staffed by caring volunteers, ensures a positive and helpful experience for everyone who attends.
