The Country Washboard is a locally owned business born from a simple desire to serve the community. After retiring from the Postal Service, owner Janet Edmiston saw a need for a truly clean, modern, and friendly laundromat in Harney County. With that vision, Janet built The Country Washboard from the ground up in 2019, creating a welcoming and reliable place for residents to take care of their laundry. The business is founded on principles of cleanliness and community service, offering a pleasant and efficient experience for every customer who walks through the door.
The Country Washboard offers a top-tier self-service laundry experience with modern, reliable equipment. The facility features 18 energy-efficient washers, including six 3-load, six 4-load, and six large-capacity 6-load machines, ensuring there's always a right size for your needs. To quickly dry your items, customers have access to 16 large and efficient dryers. The entire facility operates on a simple money card system; cards can be purchased on-site. The Country Washboard is committed to convenience and accessibility for everyone, providing a spacious, wheelchair-friendly building and a clean, ADA-approved customer restroom. Please note, for the comfort of all patrons, food, drinks (except water), and pets (except service animals) are not permitted.
